A trivial concept is stretched to the point of its snapping in debutant directorJaideep Varma’s light-hearted comedy ‘Hulla’. 

The movie tells the story of a stockbroker Raj Puri ( Sushant Singh ) who can’t sleep at night because the night-watchman in the housing society he’s just moved into keeps blowing whistles well past midnight. Even though Raj’s wife thinks he’s over-reacting, the sleepless share broker takes up the matter with the building’s secretary Janardhan ( Rajat Kapoor ).

Now, Janardhan is a loser in life who’s constantly at the receiving end of his wife’s 

taunts. As the chairman of the society, he exercises his power and he won’t let any new resident change the way things operate. Raj’s nightmare only worsens, thanks to his over-noisy neighbours. Gradually his life is thrown out of gear and he is driven to the point of paranoia.
